In recovery coaching, survivors begin to take recovery towards self-management. This support is not meant to take the place of treatment or therapy. A recovery coach teaches skills to equip the survivor and retrain the brain while offering ongoing support available through Recovery Record app when not in session. MLR uses Dialectical Behavioral Theory skills (as theorized by Dr. Marsha Linehan, Phd.), Intentional Peer Support, SMART Recovery influenced coaching.
We look together at behaviors, urges, decisions, meal plans, and movements non-judgmentally and work towards the goals and values that you set up for yourself. We coach all those who have an interest in working on disordered behavior and addiction as related to eating, substance use, disability, or other physical or mental illness.
